Two men came up to a house in the 1200 block of N. Schick Dec. 15 at 3:20 a.m. knocked on the door and said, "Open up. It's the police." The owners of the home saw that the men had handcuffs and a gun, but were not in uniform.

$400K in jewelry allegedly snatched

A man was walking in the 800 block of N. State Dec. 14 at 5:55 p.m. when a man approached and asked him for money. The walker said he had none, at which point the other man snatched a brown paper sack from the walker’s right hand. The offender fled and could not be located.

Neighbor alleges harassment

A woman arrived at her house on the 1300 block of N. Dearborn Dec. 1 at 12:26 p.m. and found a man, her neighbor, doing laundry in her apartment. She noticed that some of her belongings in her bedroom had been tossed around, including her bras and her underwear. The woman told the man to leave but he refused.

Stick-up on Clybourn

A man was walking in the 1300 block of N. Clybourn Oct. 26 at 8:10 p.m. when two men approached. One of the men said, “Give it up. I’m gonna shoot the s— out of you.” He then displayed a chrome revolver and pointed it at the victim. The second man then pushed the victim. The victim handed over his wallet which contained miscellaneous identification, credit cards and $25. Both offenders then fled east on Cleveland. Police did not locate the offenders.
